About Glow
Sharp. Trusted. Current.
Twenty five plus years of experience, one hundred percent upfront pricing, and a standard of workmanship and presentation that matches the expectations of a premium home.
Why Glow exists
The problem it solves
Homeowners across Melbourne's eastern suburbs struggle to find an electrician who is genuinely reliable, communicates clearly, shows up on time, quotes upfront and delivers a clean professional finish.
Glow solves all of that in one small team, led by Michael Szubanski, a licensed electrician with more than twenty five years on the tools. Every job, whether it's a single power point or a full solar and battery install, is run by a qualified, licensed and insured electrician, never a subcontractor you haven't met.
Glow is built for the homeowner who has already done the research: professional, technically minded, high standards, and looking for a business that operates at the same level they do.
It is a family owned business. Glow has been an accredited solar installer since 2009, and is Solar Accreditation Australia accredited today for both solar and battery design and installation, which is a separate thing again from Michael's own time on the tools. Alongside the electrical work that means solar, battery storage, heat pump hot water, and changing gas appliances over to electric.
Australian and Victorian government rebates are available on some of those upgrades, including the national Cheaper Home Batteries program, Solar Victoria rebates for solar panels and hot water, small scale technology certificates and Victorian energy upgrade certificates. Glow will tell you which of them your job actually qualifies for before you commit to anything.
What that means on the day
- A price before anything starts, not a range that moves once the van arrives
- Solar Accreditation Australia accredited for both solar and battery design and installation
- A finish that looks considered, not just functional
- Straight answers about what your switchboard, wiring or solar system actually needs
Accredited and certified
Every job backed by real accreditation
Glow is licensed and insured, and Solar Accreditation Australia accredited for both solar and battery design and installation, meaning the person sizing a system is the same person standing on the roof.
The van you'll see
Real branding, not a generic white van
Glow's van carries its own real wrap design, the same chevron cut and hex texture echoed across this site's own dark sections. When it pulls up, it's unmistakably Glow.

rodMichael at Glow Electrical did a great job of installing replacement solar panels (18) and a new 16kw Sigen battery. The installation went without any hitch or drama, and the system has been functioning pretty much without any issues for almost a year now. We did have to have an updated part of the inverter (which was general recall issue for Sigen) and Michael managed that perfectly, so that we were not inconvenienced at all.
Michael is a pleasure to work with and I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending his services for any serious electrical work you might need doing.

Michael is very knowledgeable and friendly. His work was reasonably priced and he did a great job.
I would highly recommend Michael for electrical work and would definitely use him again for any electrical work.
We had 5 lights to replace in our house. 3 oyster lights, one 4 globe track light and one fan/light combo with a remote control.
Also needed CAT6 ethernet ports in two bedrooms which required running ethernet wiring from the centre of the house where the network switch was to the bedrooms that we didn't wire when we built the house 12 years ago.
Michael replaced the old light fittings with the ones we supplied and explained what he had done at the end.
He was able to run the ethernet wire from a cupboard in the centre of our house to the bedrooms and made the new ports look nice and neat.
Michael cleaned up after all his work and did it all in a timely fashion.
Michael stayed in contact via email and was happy to reschedule when we had to isolate because of Covid in the family.
thanks very much
