About Glow
Sharp. Trusted. Current.
Twenty five plus years of experience, one hundred percent upfront pricing, and a standard of workmanship and presentation that matches the expectations of a premium home.
Why Glow exists
The problem it solves
Homeowners across Melbourne's eastern suburbs struggle to find an electrician who is genuinely reliable, communicates clearly, shows up on time, quotes upfront and delivers a clean professional finish.
Glow solves all of that in one small team, led by Michael Szubanski, a licensed electrician with more than twenty five years on the tools. Every job, whether it's a single power point or a full solar and battery install, is run by a qualified, licensed and insured electrician, never a subcontractor you haven't met.
Glow is built for the homeowner who has already done the research: professional, technically minded, high standards, and looking for a business that operates at the same level they do.
It is a family owned business. Glow has been an accredited solar installer since 2009, and is Solar Accreditation Australia accredited today for both solar and battery design and installation, which is a separate thing again from Michael's own time on the tools. Alongside the electrical work that means solar, battery storage, heat pump hot water, and changing gas appliances over to electric.
Australian and Victorian government rebates are available on some of those upgrades, including the national Cheaper Home Batteries program, Solar Victoria rebates for solar panels and hot water, small scale technology certificates and Victorian energy upgrade certificates. Glow will tell you which of them your job actually qualifies for before you commit to anything.
What that means on the day
- A price before anything starts, not a range that moves once the van arrives
- Solar Accreditation Australia accredited for both solar and battery design and installation
- A finish that looks considered, not just functional
- Straight answers about what your switchboard, wiring or solar system actually needs
Accredited and certified
Every job backed by real accreditation
Glow is licensed and insured, and Solar Accreditation Australia accredited for both solar and battery design and installation, meaning the person sizing a system is the same person standing on the roof.
The van you'll see
Real branding, not a generic white van
Glow's van carries its own real wrap design, the same chevron cut and hex texture echoed across this site's own dark sections. When it pulls up, it's unmistakably Glow.

In their words
Glow holds a 5.0 rating from 16 Google reviews, and every one of those 16 is a five star. The three reviews Glow publishes on their own site are below, quoted word for word, moving past one after the other.
Jen and Dave, BlackburnWe had Glow come to our place to do the wiring for our new kitchen. Michael was great when it came to lighting ideas and the kitchen looks great. Highly recommend, five stars.
Sharon, RingwoodWhen our power was taken out by a tree, our neighbour recommended Glow as he had used them before. The guys got the power box sorted and organised the power company to reconnect the wire without a fuss.
Phillip, Mont AlbertWe called Glow Electrical as our solar system was not working properly and the original installer would not return. Michael sorted out the problem without a fuss on the same day. He has since installed a new system on our son's house.
